Films Distribution takes sales on Dugain’s 'The Royal Exchange'

SCREEN INTERNATIONAL: Films Distribution has acquired world sales on The Royal Exchange, inspired by a plan to marry off France’s Louis XV to the oldest daughter of the King of Spain, Maria Anna Victoria, who was four-years-old at the time. It is the latest film by historical writer and director Marc Dugain – best known for An Ordinary Execution and The Curse of Edgar.

SCREEN INTERNATIONAL: Film London has announced the first new titles secured for the 13th London Screenings. The UK film export market will run June 20-23 at London’s BFI Southbank and invites hundreds of international and domestic buyers to see a range of new British films and meet UK companies.
'Hemlock Grove' series actress Freya Tingley joins 'The Sonata'

SCREEN INTERNATIONAL: 'Hemlock Grove' actress Freya Tingley (Jersey Boys) is attached to star in Andrew Desmond’s supernatural thriller The Sonata, a UK-France-Latvia-Russia co-production, which is due to shoot in Latvia and London at the end of 2016.
James Kermack's debut feature “Hi-Lo Joe” will premiere at Dinard Film Festival in September 2016. The jury will be presided by Claude Lelouch and includes James D'Arcy, Victoria Bedos, Phil Davis, Jalil Lespert, Julie Ferrier and Anne Parillaud.
Oscar-nominated director Sergei Bodrov boards 'Knuckledust'

SCREEN INTERNATIONAL: 'Mongol' Oscar-nominated director Sergei Bodrov will serve as executive producer and consultant on English-language UK action-thriller 'Knuckledust'. The UK-France co-production comes from Featuristic Films and The Project. Bodrov said: “Knuckledust is a smart and gritty film that has the potential to become an iconic reference of the action-thriller genre."
