FEATURISTIC FILMS is a London-based entertainment company founded in 2016 that develops, produces and finances bold, innovative and commercially driven FILM and TV for the international market.
Recent titles include the IFTA-nominated KNUCKLEDUST, starring Moe Dunford, Kate Dickie and Phil Davis, which was acquired by Hulu, HBO Europe and Sky Cinema; LAURENT GARNIER: OFF THE RECORD sold by Anton which had its world premiere at CPH:DOX, followed by selections at Edinburgh, IDFA and Karlovy Vary; SAY YOUR PRAYERS the sophomore feature of BIFA nominee Harry Michell with Harry Melling, Derek Jacobi and Roger Allam acquired by Sky Cinema; AFGHANISTAN directed by James Glancy (Nat Geo’s Shark Week) and Marty Stalker (Netflix’s Hostage To The Devil) which is being sold by WestEnd Films and had its world premiere at Docs Ireland; COLD MEAT a survival thriller starring Allen Leech which premiered at FrightFest 2023 and was nominated for 4 Total Film Awards; SILVERBACK a feature documentary co-produced with Off The Fence (Oscar-winner My Octopus Teacher), BBC Two and France TV which won three awards at Jackson Wild 2023 including the Grand Teton Award; horror-thriller THE WATERHOUSE, debut-feature from Samuel Clemens which had its world premiere as the opening film at FrightFest Halloween and feature documentary A RESILIENT MAN which follows Steven McRae, principal dancer of the Royal Ballet as he attempts to go back on stage after a severe injury, which premiered at FIPADOC 2024.
Featuristic Films is currently filming the crime drama SALVABLE starring Toby Kebbell, Shia LaBeouf and James Cosmo and is in post-production on the feature documentary BARDOT on the enigmatic screen legend, starring Brigitte Bardot herself and directed by Alain Berliner (Golden Globe Winner for Ma Vie En Rose) and ART OF THE JUMP feature documentary on Parkour pioneer Sebastien Foucan co-produced with Red Bull Studios.
In 2019, Featuristic launched a theatre arm FEATURISTIC STAGE with THE WEATHERMAN by Eugene O’Hare at the Park Theatre, produced in association with Anthology Theatre and Eilen Davidson. The play was critically acclaimed and landed 3 Offies nominations for the team, including Best Production and Most Promising New Playwright.
