Fremantle Acquires Global Rights to 'Bardot' Doc

Fremantle has acquired global distribution rights to the upcoming Brigitte Bardot documentary. TF1’s Bardot from Alain Berliner (Ma Vie en Rose) will air later this year on the French network.

She will work closely with co-founder and managing partner Julien Loeffler to identify which projects on Featuristic’s predominantly film-led on slate could be developed for TV rather than theatrical release.

Brigitte Bardot to be focus of documentary by Alain Berliner

Alain Berliner, who directed the BAFTA-nominated and Golden Globe-winning “Ma vie en rose,” is in pre-production on feature documentary “Bardot,” about French actor, singer and animal rights activist Brigitte Bardot. Bardot is giving the project her full support, and will narrate the film herself.

The documentary has been acquired in France by Condor Distribution, in Italy by Wanted Cinema, in Spain by Filmin, in Scandinavia by Njutafilms, in Russia by Beat Films, in Switzerland by RTS, and for Ex-Yugoslavia by MCF Megacom. Anton is handling worldwide sales.
