The film follows the adventures of a small community of Hermit crabs in Guadeloupe during their epic migration of more than 3 kilometers from the immense cliffs of the north of the island, to the gentle beaches of the south. After carrying their thousands of eggs for a month, the females will finally release them into the ocean waves. An incredible adventure of this little island crab and its exoskeleton. These crabs hold the world record for adapting to life out of water. They are permanently housed in a snail shell which has to be changed regularly to adapt to the growing size of each individual. On their journey, the clan members experience a number of adventures. Their journey culminates in a gigantic gathering of thousands of individuals: a monster scramble audible for miles around, during which the females scatter millions of eggs across the ocean waves.
